Life is more interesting being married to another culture. I've experienced and will continue to experience new things, I would not had, had I met and married a caucasian man. There are moments when people do a double take even though it's the 21st century; and moments when people would never consider him my husband. My parents didn't take too highly to our relationship at first, but grew to understand the beauty of our relationship as two cultures coming together as one, just as God intended it to be.

Race has not played a major role in my day to day life. We view life similar, eat similar, and understand the differences in our races. I feel race will have some type of major impact at some point. People still feel strongly about race.
